i dont know where you americans have gotten the idea that we brits (huzzah!) have afternoon tea. we have tea whenever the occasion calls for it (which is far more than a measley once a day).
i never noticed before that i drink so much tea. usually, i drink one when i wake up in the morning, one when i get home from school, one with my dinner and another at bedtime, ive just realised that tea is virtually my staple diet lol

here are the reasons that i drink so much:
1) england has a cold climate, 11 out of 12 months of the year its either chilly or wet and tea is a loverly warming drink
2) it tastes nice
3) its what my forefathers did JOKES this is not a valid reason.

so i hope that any american (or any other foreigner for that matter) reading this is somewhat enlightened on the subject of tea
